China cedes 90,000 square kilometers of land to India in new aggreement - Chinese reporter alleges
Following The bilateral talks between PM Modi and Xi Jinping took place along the BRICS Summit in the city of Kazan in Russia. The disengagement of Indian and Chinese troops from Depsang and Demchok in eastern Ladakh is almost over, with both sides simultaneously carrying out joint verification of the troop and equipment pullback to a specified and mutually agreed distance from the face-off sites, people aware of the development said on Tuesday.
One of the Chinese reporter, accused the People's Liberation Army(PLA) for giving up 90,000 Square Kilometers of land to India without informing Chinese people about the specifics of this agreement with India.
The Chinese reporter wrote in 'X' accusing PLA that, " The CCP's People's Liberation Army withdrawing from the Ladakh region (ironically, they even added such heroic music as background for the video), all outposts and fortifications must be dismantled, and all supplies and equipment must be removed. This land will now be entirely under Indian jurisdiction. India has already announced the establishment of the Ladakh Union Territory. This area is roughly equivalent to three Taiwans, forty Hong Kongs, totaling 90,000 square kilometers. I can tell you that the CCP has not at all informed the Chinese people about the specifics of this agreement with India to "resolve the border dispute." Anyway, the media is controlled by the CCP, and the public has no right to know, only to be brainwashed and incited."
As part of the disengagement process, the Indian Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) have pulled back their forward-deployed troops and equipment from the two flashpoints along the contested Line of Actual Control (LAC), and dismantled temporary structures that had come up there after the military standoff began in May 2020, the people added, asking not to be named.
The disengagement at Depsang and Demchok will facilitate patrolling by both sides in a coordinated manner, and in the agreed upon frequency and strength (of the patrolling parties), said Lieutenant General Vinod Bhatia (retd), a former director general of military operations.
