If the question paper leaks DCs are responsible : saying so is irresponsibility - MLA Yatnal

In the NEET question paper leak case, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned taking moral responsibility. Congress leaders, along with the state's CM D.K. Shivakumar, even held protests demanding the minister's resignation.

But now, in Karnataka, recruitment exams for over 70,000 government posts are going to be held in the next few months. If the question papers leak again, 'The District Collectors will be held responsible.', the Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has reportedly said.

The legislator Basavanagouda Patil Yatnal, who condemned this statement as irresponsible, said, 'If the question paper leaks, but the Chief Ministers say that the District Collectors are responsible, it shows their irresponsibility. Earlier too, your Congress government had made an unwritten rule during the stampede at Chinnaswamy Stadium to dismiss police officers, saying that in case of an accident, only the officials are responsible, not the ministers.'

'Chief Ministers who go to Delhi to protest the NEET question paper leak do not utter a word about the massive corruption happening in the Karnataka Public Service Commission in our state's recruitment. First correct the injustice happening to our government job aspirants. If there's a question paper leak, wrong translation, or irregularity in recruitment, the concerned ministers should take responsibility. Don't try to wiggle out of accountability. First fix the commission that is being laughed at,' he added.
